Ambition & Action

There is a young man I have the privilege of knowing and work with. His depth, wisdom, and raw ability have earned from me a respect seldom granted.
From the deepest place within, I wish only the best for this remarkable soul.
Though my words sound ornate, they still fail to capture the fullness of my admiration.
He is an inspiration to me in many ways. I still stumble through the role of a chaotic mentor. In a matter of weeks he was attempting what took years for myself and others. His mind is a quiet mystery that I patiently enjoy.
Some months ago, he shared with me a simple note. It was scribbled on a Post-it. It contained the 12 words you see above and below. I expanded on them to better show the depth of his thoughts. After which, I conferred with him to confirm his meaning. That fuller page still hangs above my desk.
