ROI on Laughter

Laughter, often seen as a simple, spontaneous reaction to humor, holds a deeper, more significant role in our lives. It is a universal language that breaks cultural and linguistic barriers, creates connections, and strengthens social bonds. While it is prone to the laws of diminishing returns, do we stop considering the significant return at the margin? Inappropriate humor in the wrong context can have dangerous risks. But, we must not understate the benefits of being capable of and comfortable with laughing at oneself and the world.

— Og Mandino, The Greatest Salesman in the World
